Aphrodite's surface is covered in a grey powder, which makes all topographical features seem hazy and soft to the naked eye. It is half the diameter of Luna and has approximately 1/6th the mass. This higher mass to diameter ratio is due to an unusually large percentage of heavy metals in the satellite's composition.
