Charter Station was constructed by the Annyrion Colonist - Eisshari Coalition as their single largest works project to date. It was a relatively tiny nickel-iron asteroid that was reshaped, using a giant solar furnace in a manner simiar to glass-blowing, to create a vaguely cylindrical, hollowed out construct. Once the base construct had cooled sufficiently, it was towed to its current position, the habitat rings and other hardware were added to the exterior, and a large spacedock facility was constructed within. Its intended purpose was to protect the Thinora System jumpgate from attack and serve as the primary shipyard for the Coalition.
Charter Station is home to the Coalition Titans-class space control vehicle Titans, the Shogun-class space dominance vehicle Dallenhome, and a small fleet of Balaro-class gunship and Paliero-class guided-missile pinnaces. Attackers making it past this screen will face the station's defense grid, composed of a large number of heavy weapons, which can be assumed to include missiles, ETG cannon, and lasers.
