Maeve "Pandora" Marianne Locke-Musteli
Basic info
Background and personality
Maeve Marianne Locke-Musteli was born to an Epiphyte Ghueri-lord Dad and an antiques-dealer Mum (who hailed from 'bayou country' on Oceania). The otteress grew up in Epiphyte and began working up a tolerance to most mind-altering substances sold on Market St. at an early age.
The turning point in her life came when she was around 16. A group of corrupt Coalition aristocrats sent a mob of assassins to her family home in retribution for the Ghueri busting up their slave-trading ring.
After her parents were murdered, she fled the city and went to Sol. There she took on her current alias, Pandora. During her stay on Luna, she met Firefox (aka Red Lake), and with the help of the rogue hacker Blackbox, they allegedly pulled off the great Lunar Bank Heist.
A few million credits later, Firefox and Pandora began construction of a fleet and reformed Seventh Wave. Setting up base in Epiphyte, the faction went on to defend the Lopanga Confederacy in the Annyrion Civil War. In exchange, Pandora brokered a deal with the Secretary of State, Paris, to grant 7W full amnesty–and to this day, 7W remains the standing navy of Free Lopanga.
A couple of years later though, Pandora and Firefox had a massive falling out–Firefox in turn attempted a mutiny, but was unsuccessful. Pandora now has sole command of the fleet and continues actively furnish the best interests of 7W.
| Personality | As her present alias implies, Pandora is naturally curious and sure doesn't mind getting her hands dirty if the ends somehow justify the means. Rumor has it that /somewhere/ she has a conscience–but then you know how tricky rumors are. In terms of other personality traits she's highly mercurial and can blow hot-cold from one minute to the next and has a fiery temper when provoked. Neverthless, her inherent sensibilities as an otter make her fairly laid-back and always appreciative of a good time. |

| Reputation | Her reputation is bound to vary in certain circles–mostly due to her political affiliations and background. In Lopanga, her ties to the Ghueri and continuing service to the Confederacy grants her plenty of good favor. Her piloting and leadership exhibited in the last few Martian coup missions, the Alpha Dome Disaster, and the Annyrion Civil War would make her a well sought after captain—if she didn't run her own navy, that is ;) Overall among her brethren “pirates” far and wide, she's known for being shrewd, tenacious leader with an eye for strategy. As most crew past and current will attest, if you can stay on her good side (and get past her fiery southern temperament!), she's a fair captain who will treat her crew right (and drink ya'll under the table!) |
